Nigeria-Vietnam chamber set to strengthen bilateral economic ties at 2025 Quarterly Business Meeting

The Nigeria-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NVCCI) has rolled out activities for the 2025 Business season, launching a series of events aimed at fostering greater economic ties between the two nations.
The Chamber will host its first Quarterly Business Meeting (QBM) on March 6, 2025 at the Golden Gate Restaurant in Ikoyi, Lagos, themed, “Renewable Energy, Circular Economy, and Digital Economy”, where business leaders, academic experts, and members of the business community will discuss current trends, share knowledge, and network with key stakeholders.

One of the highlights of the event will be a keynote address by Femi Ipinnimo of the Department of Engineering Analysis, University of Lagos (UNILAG), Akoka, a prominent figure in the present effort by NVCCI to foist a Nigeria-Vietnam collaboration for the setting up of a micro-chip and semiconductor production unit in Nigeria.
The event will also host the Nigeria-Vietnam Business Investment Forum (BIF) that includes a variety of presentations, exhibitions, and business networking opportunities. The BIF will feature a “Products of Nigeria” Exhibition (PONEx 2025), which will showcase the diverse range of goods and services produced in Nigeria, as well as a Business to Business (B2B) networking session.
The NVCCI’s QBM will also witness the induction of new members into the chamber’s “Class of 2025” and the conferment of an honourary membership on Professor Ralph Akinfeleye, a distinguished Nigerian academic known for his contributions to the development of Mass Communication in Nigeria.
Oye Akinsemoyin, president of the NVCCI, noted that the 2025 Quarterly Business Meeting is the first leg of a two-legged series of 1st quarter calendar of events by the chamber.
Akinsemoyin described the event as a rallying point and grooming ground for businesses, entrepreneurs, investors, decision-makers, policy makers, and professional practitioners in trade commerce, investment and Industry.
The QBM is held in preparation of delegation visit of Nigeria to the famous Hanoi, VIETEXPO Trade Fair coming up in Hanoi, the capital city and seat of the Government of Vietnam in the first week of April 2025.
The VIETEXPO Trade fair is hosted by the Government of Vietnam from April 2-5, 2025 and the visit has been fashioned or facilitated by NVCCI and its counterpart, the VCCI of Hanoi, from April 2-7. This will enable participants to take the advantage for participation in the “Special Nigeria-Vietnam Business Investment Forum” (BIF).
In addition, participants will be involved in visits to Vietnam Farm Settlements, Industrial Parks, Hi-Tech Parks, Processing units, Plants, Smart Installations, and many Vietnam companies thereby offering the Peoples of Nigeria and Vietnam mutually beneficial opportunities for forming enduring partnerships and collaborations.
