AMP Dubai 2026 opens new global market opportunities for African SMEs

African entrepreneurs seeking to expand beyond domestic markets are expected to gain access to new trade opportunities as the African Marketplace (AMP) Dubai returns in October 2026, with organisers positioning the event as a platform to connect export-ready businesses with global buyers, investors and partners.

The second edition of AMP Dubai, scheduled to hold from October 10 to 12 at the Conrad Hotel, Dubai, is designed to create opportunities for African and Caribbean businesses to showcase their products, build partnerships and explore international markets.

According to the organisers, the event will go beyond a conventional trade exhibition by creating a platform where businesses can engage directly with potential buyers and investors. They noted that the inaugural edition facilitated product movements and business engagements, with the 2026 edition expected to feature a wider network of buyers and investors.

One of the key focuses of the event will be improving visibility for participating brands through media exposure, including editorial features, interviews and campaign content designed to extend the reach of exhibitors beyond the physical exhibition space.

The organisers said the inclusion of Caribbean businesses in this year’s edition would also help create a new trade corridor for African small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) seeking to diversify their markets.

“For entrepreneurs, this means new buyers, new partnerships and new categories of demand,” the organisers stated, highlighting opportunities for businesses to explore markets outside traditional export destinations.

Beyond market access, AMP Dubai 2026 will provide a platform for founders to share their business journeys and connect with investors, trade agencies and diaspora communities that influence cross-border business decisions.

The event will also bring together export-oriented African brands, creating opportunities for entrepreneurs to network with peers, potential collaborators and businesses with experience navigating international markets.

The organisers added that the impact of the event would extend beyond the three-day exhibition, with pre-event publicity, on-site media coverage and post-event features expected to provide participating businesses with additional visibility and credibility.
