Zenith Bank appoints Adam new chief finance officer

Zenith Bank Nigeria Plc. has announced the appointment of Mukhtar Adam as its new chief finance officer.
The company, in a notice to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) and the investing public said the appointment has since been approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and explained that Adam had been in the bank since 2007 and prior his new appointment, he was the deputy chief finance officer of the bank.
In the notice, Adam was profiled as a Ph.D. holder in finance from Leeds Becket University (UK). He also holds an MSc in finance from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies (UK), an MBA in Finance from the University of Leicester (UK), and B.Ed. Social Science (Economics and Management) from the University of Cape Coast (Ghana).
Adam has served the bank as the head of the financial reporting, tax management, and strategic planning group, and he also oversaw the entire Zenith Group financial reporting functions.

Before his venture into Zenith Bank, he was a senior consultant at Financial Service Group of Nigeria and practiced at PricewaterhouseCoopers Ghana, now PWC.
He is also a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigerian (CITN), Institute of Chartered Accountant of Ghana (ICAG) and hold a Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS). He is a researcher and has a good number of publications, both academic and professional to his credit
